Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Logistics Manager for assigned Defensive Cyber Operations-Space (DCO-S) systems. Colorado Springs, CO

Responsibilities
● Serves as the Logistics Manager for sustainment logistics issues for DCO-S.
● Plans, organizes, and coordinates activities of sustainment logistics teams.
● Serves as a focal point for Acquisition Logistics for major procurements and modifications being accepted for operations.
● Represents the DCO-S with higher-level agencies and contractor organizations.

Duties
● Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
● Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.
● Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
● Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
● Full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks.
● Performs complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment.
● Plan schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
● Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
● Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
● Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.

Requirements
● Supply Chain Continuity Planning: Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program. Ability to develop and maintain a deployment and Logistics Plan.
● Contract Management: Responsible for some aspects of the procurement of subcontracts including the management of Cost, Schedule, and Performance
● Inventory Management: Control and positioning of material (supplies and equipment) to meet identified material needs. At the operational level, inventory management is concerned with, among other things, supply items (“piece parts”), processing requisitions, reallocating or redistributing material, analyzing requirements, and recommending procurement actions. requires a general knowledge of inventory management as well as other logistics support functions in order to integrate, coordinate, and analyze total support requirements.
● Forecasting Experience: Coordinate with vendors on tech refresh and end of life activities.

Conditions of Employment
o U.S. Citizenship Required
o Must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance as a condition of employment.
o May be required to work overtime.
o Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.

Qualifications
o 10 Years’ Experience with Logistics
o 5+ years of DoD Logistics Experience
o Experience moving heavy equipment between locations

Preferred Additional Skills:
● DAWIA Knowledge and experience (contractor cannot be DAIWIA certified)
● Highly proficient in the use of the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
● Highly proficient in MS Office suite of tools, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
● Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
● Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
● Possess excellent communication skills, quality commitment, customer focus, strong interpersonal skills and be adaptable.
● Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and program teams.
● Be a self-starter and team player.

Travel Required
● Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.
