Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- DevOps Engineer will need to have strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes that enable configuration baseline management, CMDB Ownership
- The candidate will ensure Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment controls and processes are followed for application code releases into non-production and production environments
- Candidate should have strong experience implementing the appropriate change release management methodologies and processes.
- Candidate will be responsible for configuring DevOps processes and tools to support the application developers.
- Candidate should possess strong communication and reporting skills with emphasis on keeping release items on track and schedule.
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with AWS and/or similar cloud service provider Experience with Linux Experience with Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript and R languages Experience with HTML and CSS front-end development, using JavaScript (e.g. React.JS) frameworks
- Experience with public cloud storage and database solutions Experience with OpenShift, Docker, containerization Candidate should have ability to learn new techniques and technologies quickly
- Support and maintenance of large commercial off-the-shelf software installations
- Working in a fast-paced 24/7 operations shop – responding to and identifying potential and active issues and determining a course of action
- Designing, implementing, and supporting service provider (xSP, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, MBaaS, etc.) environments
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Jenkins or similar CI tooling
