Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Analyst with a strong background in software development and technology. You will play a crucial role in validating software functionality, developing robust automated and manual testing protocols, and ensuring seamless deployments for key USPS systems.

  • Location: Washington, DC 20260 (On-site/Hybrid as required)
  • Clearance: Public Trust Eligible (must be US based with 5 years of residency)
  • Salary : $80K-$82K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), meticulously documenting outcomes and providing test artifacts.
  • Drive automated test script development and API testing protocols.
  • Develop and maintain Software Requirement Specification (SRS) documents for technical file specifications (Mail.dat and Mail.XML).
  • Participate in MTAC and other key industry workgroups to align technical requirements with user needs.
  • Develop performance metrics to monitor testing statuses and build application training materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in technology or software development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in API Testing utilizing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Strong background in executing smoke, regression, and functional testing while managing testing via Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience working with CSV, XML, JSON, and relational databases.
  • Software Testing Certification is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Mail.DAT and Mail.XML specifications for electronic data exchange.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (SQL, Java, Python) and AI-based automation testing tools.
