Scott Henderson

Director | Navy Programs

Mr. Henderson joined Karthik consulting in Sep 2020 after 31 years of experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, Command Information Officer, Deputy Command Information Officer, Cybersecurity Lead, and Acquisition Engineer supporting the United States Department of the Navy on a variety of information technology and cybersecurity programs/projects/initiatives. Since 2020 Mr. Henderson has been responsible for leading Karthik Consulting’s team on the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) TRAS contract.

His experience includes managing a team providing world-wide support to NAVFAC HQ CIO and their supporting Echelon IV Facilities Engineering Commands (FECs) across a wide variety of tasking areas including program/project management, Risk Management Framework (RMF) support for Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS), Mission Assurance Assessment (MAA) support, policy development, configuration management (CM), Life Cycle Management, etc. Other experience includes support at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) CIO’s office to ensure their portfolio of applications, systems and networks is compliant with Federal, DoD, Department of the Navy, and Navy IT/IA policies, procedures, and directives, leading Technical Solutions team within the Navy Program Office – Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), executing tasks as the NMCI Navy Program Office Cybersecurity Lead and direct support to Navy Chief Information Officer staffs, Naval Network Warfare Command (NETWARCOM) to accelerate the transition of legacy networks, servers, systems, devices and applications to the NMCI environment.

Mr. Henderson has attained the Certifiied Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification as well as the ITIL V3 Foundations Certificate. Mr. Henderson also attained Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certifications in the Program Management and Information Technology career fields while he worked as a Department of the Navy civilian employee.
