Karthik Consulting Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

Karthik Consulting is pleased to announce that we have earned Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2, awarded following a formal assessment by an accredited Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). Administered by the Department of War (DoW), CMMC Level 2 is the standard required of contractors that process, store, or transmit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on their information systems.

Since CMMC requirements flow down to every tier of the supply chain, our Level 2 certification allows us to meet federal agencies needs for CUI work directly or as a subcontractor, verified through our status in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS).

While the Department of War paused the need for third-party certification under Phase II of CMMC earlier this month, validating all 110 security practices in NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2 takes material time and investment to implement and verify independently. By earning our Level 2 certification now, Karthik Consulting is ready to support CUI work the day it’s required. For the numerous federal agencies we work with, including all six branches of the Armed Forces, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Level 2 certification provides assurance that we’re able to continue providing trusted cybersecurity and IT services without interruption.
